KERRY'S NOTES: 'In my painting 'Hand Wash' I have borrowed Masaccio’s 'The Expulsion from Paradise' & asked the question, “what if we never had the original sin?”. And so, I have attempted to wash the original sin from the chapel wall. Only to discover ordinary, generic washing instructions beneath the fresco. We need the sin. Mess is what makes life extraordinary.’
