KERRY'S NOTES: I sold ‘Seen & Unseen’ in 2016 to a woman from Kingston.  A few yrs later she emailed me saying she wanted to return the painting.  Her marriage had ended & took with it the wall space for all their life’s collection of art. She no longer had the space. This event cracked her & she fell apart. For me I could no longer view my painting as I did. It meant something else. It became about her. I repainted the figure, made her younger & cracked it apart.  The painting is about life’s seen/unseen perils & the things we don’t see through the cracks.
